Warm Waves: A Minimalist Show Flat-Style Home with Elegance and Tranquility

Creating a Stunning and Homely Living Space

The main focus of the Warm Waves project was to create a home that exudes elegance and warmth while embracing the serene surroundings. The design team at Apollo Design HK carefully crafted a space that would not only be visually stunning but also functional and practical for everyday living. The original one-bedroom layout was transformed into a master suite, a study cum-guest room, and a walk-in wardrobe, along with a spacious living and dining area and an open kitchen.

One of the standout features of this design is the creative use of materials to separate the zones in the open-plan living room and kitchen. The introduction of elegant, bespoke curved wood cladding panels adds a comforting and luxurious touch to the environment. The incorporation of rounded-edge furniture and comforting curves throughout the space not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also aligns with the principles of feng shui, creating a harmonious and positive energy flow.

To further enhance the functionality of the space, the design team converted the original living room into a study with a smart glass wall. This innovative addition allows for an open and airy feel without compromising the living room's space. The use of the Wiser smart home system enables the owners to easily control various home functions, whether remotely through the Wiser app or locally with voice control and connected switches.

The Warm Waves project showcases a range of custom-made furniture that adds to the overall sophistication of the design. From a swiveling floor lamp from Flos to the iconic Tulip recliner armchair from Natuzzi Italia, each piece has been carefully selected to complement the overall aesthetic and create a sense of chic elegance. The darker palette and grand marble flooring are offset by the simplicity and timeless appeal of the furniture, creating a harmonious balance.

Completed in December 2021, the Warm Waves project is a testament to the dedication and creativity of the design team at Apollo Design HK. By incorporating the principles of feng shui, utilizing innovative materials, and creating a seamless integration of technology, this design has transformed a space into a stunning and homely living environment.

The Warm Waves project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious accolade recognizes the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the design, showcasing its ability to incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
